Will my tweets get me fired? by August van de Ven (@Augustvdven) from The Netherlands.
What’s your motivation for creating your product?
I noticed that various famous people got in trouble because of old tweets that people dug up again and I realized that it is fairly hard to get rid of these tweets without deleting all your tweets or if you forgot about them.
What are your product features?
You can simply enter a Twitter username, click “Scan account” and wait a few seconds/minutes depending on the number of tweets. You’ll get a list of all your tweets that contain bad words with links to each tweet so you can do anything you want with those tweets.
You’ll also get a link to the list so you can always access it at a later moment.
When did you launch?
I launched it on November 22nd.
Where did you launch?
I launched it on my twitter, Product Hunt, HackerNews and on a few social media subreddits.
How did your launch go?
The launch went well on product hunt, with 130 upvotes and it was tweeted by product hunt a few times which helped a lot.17 scans were done on the first day so that’s around $50 in revenue. Unfortunately, the site was down for a while during the launch so I may have missed out on some revenue.
Any specific launch tips? Or things you would do differently?
I think a great tip is to launch it in some more specific websites that are in the same category as your product, this has worked great for some of my other launches. I’m gonna launch it on a few social media forums and websites for example to get more traffic from people that would likely benefit most from my product.
